Laura Sanders is the owner and director of Nashville Skating Academy and is PSA Master Rated in Pairs and Singles. She has a Level V Ranking with the PSA and has been teaching in the Nashville area for over twenty years. She has taken both Pair and Singles skaters to USFSA Regional, Sectional, and National as well as International Events. She has coached numerous National Medalists and she also has served on various United States Figure Skating Committees. Laura was on the Board of the 1997 United States Figure Skating Championships held in Nashville, which was the inaugural event for the Nashville Arena. She was instrumental in starting the Nashville Figure Skating Club and has served in many capacities Club Board including President.

Shane has been in skating all his life competing with the Broadmoor club from Pre-Juv up through Senior in regional, sectional, and national championships. Shane is a former Novice Men's National Champion and he has coached skaters through figures, freestyle, dance and senior moves and taken many skaters to the National championships. Shane is a Professional Skaters Association member with a certified rating in Moves in the Field and Registered rating in Free Skating. Shane is also a USFS gold medalist in Freestyle, Moves in the Field, Figures, Dance and Solo Dance.

Molly Quigley-Moenkhoff has skated since the age of 3 when she followed in her older brothers footsteps playing hockey.  She turned to figure skating at age 7 and moved away from home to train permanently at 15.  Molly competed at Nationals in both Senior Pairs and Senior Ladies and was an international medalist in Senior Pairs.  As an amateur she performed in “An Evening of Champions” as well as other numerous club ice shows throughout the United States including “Nancy Kerrigan’s Country and Christmas” shows  and “Ice Extravaganza” staring Ekaterina Gordeeva.  At age 23 Molly turned professional and became a principle soloist joining Willy Bietak Productions aboard the Royal Caribbean’s Cruise Ships and then Woodstock Productions in theme parks. Molly has travelled the world performing on TV, in Theaters and Arenas, and touring with Broadway On Ice.  She skated for the Nashville Predators NHL team as part of their on-ice entertainment for over a decade and now is the Director of Cheerleading for the Ice Girls. Molly has also became an NFL Cheerleader for the Tennessee Titans and an actress, known for reality TV Coyote Ugly Search on CMT (2007) and Dancing on Ice in the UK (2010).  Molly has been coaching for 18 years, is a Hockey/PSA Figure Skating Instructor, and has been an Ice Show Director.  Her students have competed in Regionals, Sectionals, Nationals, Collegiate, Internationals and ISI Worlds and tested to the elite level (Gold Medal). When she is not skating in shows Molly enjoys life in Franklin with her husband and new baby coaching and choreographing for her young students.

Bert began skating at the age of 3 in Nashville.  From 1987-2004 in qualifying competitions, he amassed 22 regional, sectional, national and international medals in singles and pairs, qualifying for the US Figure Skating Championships 11 times in Novice, Junior and Senior events.  He trained in many regions of the country with international, world and Olympic coaches, including NFSC’s own Laura Sanders, Burt Lancon, Lyndon Johnston,  and Peter Oppegard, among many others.  He has passed through the 5th figure test, as well as Senior Gold Freeskating, Pairs and Moves In the Field.  As a professional skater, Bert performed in nearly 3,000 ice shows throughout 32 different countries as a principal/featured act, including the Holiday On Ice production “Romanza” in 2005-2007, the “Mystery” production in 2007-2008 where he met his wife Meagan,  and Evgeny Plushinko’s “Kings On Ice” Olympic Tour from 2008-2010.  Bert went on to star in the Disney On Ice production show “100 years of Magic” as well as the Sun Valley 75th anniversary series “Summer Under the Stars”. Over the course of a busy professional career, he performed with 34 different Olympic medalists.  Bert began coaching in 1995 teaching learn to skate classes, and continued to coach between competitions and tours in many places including on Frank Carroll’s coaching staff at Toyota Training Center In El Segundo.  Retiring from professional skating in 2012, Bert’s main focus has been sharing his knowledge and experience with other young skaters. Currently, Bert is the Basic Skills Director/Program Development at A-Game Skate Academy and a full member of the PSA. He is also a level 2 USA Hockey Official.

Robert Mauti has 17 years of coaching experience and has coached Freestylers and Ice Dancers at Junior Nationals and Adult Nationals. He has choreographed programs for single skaters and pair teams that have competed at US Nationals for the past five years, including the current 2015 Novice Pairs Champions. Robert has two PSA Master Ratings in Choreography and Moves in the Field. He also has a PSA Senior Rating in Group Instruction, Certified Freestyle, and Certified Ice Dance. As a skater, Robert achieved Senior Gold Medal in Freestyle, Moves in the Field, Compulsory Ice Dance, Free Cance, and Canadian Freestyle. Robert has a Bachelor’s degree in Music from Geneva College. Robert has lived and coached Nashville since 2007.

Originally from Montana, Thom Yzaguirre began his formal dance training at Minnesota Dance Theatre and School. Thom trained in both ballet and modern dance, and worked his way up from student to Company 2 dancer. Thom went on to receive scholarships with the Tidewater Ballet Academy, Milwaukee Ballet, Joffrey Ballet and the School of American Ballet. Among his many teachers were Bonnie Mathis, Gene K. Hammett, Susan Borree, Robert Joffrey, Michael Bjerknes, Stephen Jenkins and Elaine Thomas.  He has danced professionally with Duluth Ballet, Ballet Arizona, as a soloist with Louisville Ballet and as a principal with Nevada Dance Theatre and Nashville Ballet. He has worked with a variety of directors including Loyce Houlton, Vassili Sulich and Janek Schergen. He has also danced a wide range of choreography by a host of dance masters. Mr. Yzaguirre has been a guest teacher for the Tidewater Ballet Academy, the Academy of Nevada Dance Theatre, the Kentucky Governor’s School for the Arts, Nashville Ballet, and Tennessee Association of Dance and Ballet of Theatre Arts.  He currently lives in Nashville and is the director of the ballet program at Franklin School of Performing Arts. Thom has worked with competitive figure skaters at A Game Skate Academy and NFSC since 1997.
